Background Information

Since 2007, Fundación Nahuel has been committed to addressing the urgent needs of children who require social protection. By partnering with government institutions and leveraging individual donations, the fund provides direct assistance to children in need.

The PSI operates in five cities across Ecuador, offering services in state facilities where children receive medical care, educational support, and psychological attention. This includes specialized help for children who live and work in hazardous environments, such as garbage dumps, ensuring they can access opportunities for a better future.

Although the fund has helped over 440 beneficiaries as of 2022, securing donations has become increasingly challenging in recent years, particularly following the COVID-19 pandemic. Continued support is vital to sustain and expand these life-changing programs.
